How to use DARE Scanner
DARE Scanner allows you to perform raster-to-vector conversions. By saving raster images or PDF files into a designated project folder, you can easily convert them into CAD drawings.
Launch the App
Download the DARE Scanner installer from the DARE Store download page.
Extract the downloaded zip file.
Double-click "install.exe" in the extracted folder.
Follow the dialogs to complete the installation.
After installation, a DARE Scanner icon will be added to your desktop. Double-click it to launch.
First Time Use
To use DARE Scanner, you need to create a project. The Project Wizard launches automatically on the first startup. If you closed the wizard or it did not execute properly, run [PWIZ] in the command line.
How to Create a Project
Launch the Project Wizard.
Click "New".
Specify a project name and the location where you want to create the project folder. For example, if you specify the Desktop, a folder with the "Project Name" will be created there.
Click "Create" .
The project folder is created. Once the project folder is opened in DARE Scanner, the setup is complete.
Performing Raster-to-Vector Conversion
Place the images or PDF files you want to convert into the created project folder.
They will appear in the left tree of DARE Scanner.
Select a drawing in the left tree, and click the "Scan" button at the bottom of the right tree.
The raster-to-vector conversion will begin.
Once completed, the converted DXF file will be displayed in the center viewer. The actual DXF file is output to the project folder (the output destination folder can also be changed).
