Installation & Setup Guide

Introduction

This DARE application is controlled by a secure local license management system called B-rite. The desktop application can only function properly after installing both the main DARE application and the B-rite Runtime component on your local machine.

Extract the downloaded ZIP package and double-click "install.exe" or "install.bat" located in the root folder to launch the unified installer. Administrator privileges are required.

1. Review and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. Click "Install" to run the setup wizard. This will sequentially install the DARE Application and the B-rite Runtime.
3. When the completion screen appears, click "Finish". Setup is now complete.

If the application crashes immediately, fails to pass authentication, or shows a B-rite Runtime error, the runtime component may have been blocked or removed by your environment.

Common Causes:

• Antivirus or security software (e.g., Trend Micro, Windows Defender) falsely flagging B-rite Runtime as a false positive and silently deleting it.
• Insufficient local administrator privileges preventing the background windows services from registering correctly.

Resolution Procedure:

1. Close all running DARE components.
2. Temporarily disable your antivirus or security software shield.
3. Uninstall the DARE application via Windows "Apps & features".
4. Right-click "install.exe" from your downloaded folder and choose "Run as Administrator" to perform a clean reinstallation.
5. Launch the application to confirm background runtime initialization, then re-enable your security software.

Uninstallation & Support

To cleanly remove the application, navigate to Windows Settings → Apps & features, locate the product, and click Uninstall.
